Unlike common white water rafting involving balancing the raft in rapids and hard labour with paddles to avoid imminent crash against boulders, Lazy Rafting is traditional way in Riga to have a day out in hot summer. Group goes to Gauja River just outside Riga, which is calm, slow and runs through beautiful forests and cliffs of Gauja national park. Large 12-seated oceanic lifesaving raft is inflated and off we go! A slow and tranquil one hour drift down picturesque river soaking up the sun and sipping lager. The river is warm and mainly just waste deep.Group is allowed to bring own drinks and snacks!
